Restaurant Steinegger in Appiano: regional cuisine with a stunning panoramic view

Enjoyment with heart and common sense

Cooking here is a family affair — and the chef’s responsibility: Michi stands at the stove himself, with curiosity, craftsmanship and plenty of flavour. Much of what ends up on your plate grows right next door. Fruit, vegetables, herbs, wine — all with a touch of Steinegger: honest, down-to-earth, real.

Because it simply tastes good

In our large vine-covered terrace, in the dining room or on the garden terrace overlooking the Valle dell’Adige, we eat the way we like it best: fresh, regional and prepared with care. On the plate is what’s in season — vegetables, fruit and herbs from our own farm, meat and cheese from local farmers.
Enjoy your meal!

Love stories from the wine cellar

Wine is simply part of who we are — part of our culture, a pleasure in a glass and the perfect companion to good food (and conversation).
Our wine list is legendary and put together with great passion. South Tyrol naturally takes the leading role, but Italy and the wider world also have their say — each bottle with its own story, every sip with character.

A good start, a fine finish

In the morning, there’s the scent of coffee, fresh bread and homemade jam — those who wish can start the day with our breakfast. On the balcony or in the dining room, but always with a 180-degree panoramic view. In the evening, three- or five-course menus await — cooked with heart and served with a smile. In the vine-covered terrace, you sit outdoors yet protected from wind and unexpected changes in weather — here, it tastes of the south, of time, and for many of our guests, a bit like a second home.

(Breakfast and evening menu are part of our half board, but can also be booked separately.)
